Inflation rate drops by 0.03 percent

Nigeria Bureau of Statistics has giving Nigerians a ray of hope as inflation drops for the eight consecutive month. The agency through its consumer price index for inflation measurement explained that there was drop of 0.03 percent from the initial 16.01 percent recorded for the month of August.
In the newly published report the National Bureau explained that on a month-on-month basis, the headline index increased by 0.78 percent in September against 0.97 percent recorded in August this year.
However the 15.98 percent recorded in September explains a consecutive decline in inflation rate from the initial 16.01 percent recorded for August 2017.
