Croatia and Barcelona midfielder, Ivan Rakitic will likely leave the club to join Premier League giants, Chelsea, at the end of the season.
Sport reports suggest that Chelsea are willing to sign Rakitic in the summer as they look to finally fill the void created by midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who recently left Chelsea for Monaco.
Catalan newspaper claimed that Maurizio Sarri(Chelsea manager), has already expressed his desire to bring in a new midfielder to provide competition for Jorginho who has come under scrutiny lately.
Meanwhile, Rakitic is expected to fall down the pecking order at Barcelona when midfielder, Frenkie de Jong arrives at Camp Nou from Ajax.
De Jong penned a five-year-deal with Barcelona for €75 million (£65 million) last week.
Asked if De Jong’s arrival could force out of Barcelona, Rakitic said “That’s a good question for the ‘Mister’ [manager] or the ‘Presi [president].
